I'm on the 4-5 mg dose of finasteride and I'm taking the same dose of the generic finasteride.
My question is, is there any real science behind the efficacy of finasteride? Is it possible the generic drug was developed to be cheaper, or is there something I'm not seeing anywhere in the website to guide me?
EDIT: I got a very interesting reply from my GP, which I found out after a few hours of reading the web - there's no way of telling that I was wrong. I'm on 4 mg of finasteride, and my blood pressure is still very low. This is a prescription medication and I was prescribed the generic finasteride. It's been a year and a half since I took it, and the results were good. My blood pressure went down and my prostate was going down. I'm on the 4 mg dose, and the results were good. I'm currently on the 4 mg. The first couple of months I was feeling better, but it didn't last long. My prostate went back up, and it wasn't that bad after a couple of months, but it wasn't that bad at all.
So my question is, is there any way I can buy generic finasteride?

It's a generic, and it's been in the pharmacy for quite some time. The generic has been around a year and a half since it was approved, and it's been on Propecia for more than a year. There are a few reasons why the generic is so expensive, but a lot of people are very happy with the results, and it's an affordable medicine. Plus, its just been on so many different generics since it was approved.

I'm on the 4 mg, but the results were good. It has been a little longer, but I'm still feeling better and I'm feeling better. And the prostate hasn't been going up any further, and it's still not that bad. I've got some more work to do, so I'll see what happens.
The only thing that bothers me the most is that I can't get my prostate to stay down for more than a week after stopping the medication. So I think there's a bit of a chance that this may be due to the fact that I was taking the generic version, and not the generic finasteride.
I guess that's the point. I'm just a bit worried about it. And maybe, it's just the generic, but I've been on Propecia for a year and a half now and the results are good.
